It is with profound sadness that we announce the recent passing of Dusty Arlene Evans, 76, of Turlock, CA, on September 19th, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born in Modesto, CA, to John and Thelma Casey. She was a graduate of Ceres High School in 1968. On July 9th, 1977, she married Perry, the love of her life and husband of 42 years, which resulted in
a blended family of six children. Dusty retired from Conagra in 2012, but continued to work at Seneca Foods for several years where she took pride in her role as supervisor. Dusty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, dog mom, and friend. She was the matriarch of her family, whom she loved with all her heart. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing cards, gardening, watching Hallmark movies, game shows, and playing with her beloved dog Lilly. She loved hosting family and friends for holidays, especially Christmas, birthdays, and gatherings. Dusty lived her life to the absolute fullest and will be missed dearly by her many friends and family. May her vibrant spirit forever inspire those who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Rick Evans (Barbara), Rebecca Evans, Casey Stonebarger (Danny), Gena Meza (Philip), and Brandi Martin; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Perry Evans, her son PV Evans, and her siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, at Lakewood Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Hughson, CA. There will be a reception following the committal; the address will be provided at a later time.
