Ed Raymond Dutra. 59, of Modesto, Ca died unexpectedly on August 1, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Dutra; sons Michael and Zachary; daughter Nevaeh, granddaughter Malina; his mother Arminda; 2 sisters, Natalie and Gina (Joe); numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Eduardo.
Ed was born on August 31, 1964 in Oakdale, CA. He was an employee of Gallo Glass for 39 years where he was an active member of his union and served as the Recording Secretary. Ed was proud of his Portuguese heritage. He was president of the IMDES in 2005 and recently traveled to the Azores. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He liked to play baseball and golf, as well as cards and dice. He also enjoyed traveling, playing the drums, and outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. IN recent years he had begun entering into rib cook offs and enjoyed barbecuing for family and friends.
A funeral service for Eddie will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 1225 Olive St, Oakdale, CA 95361. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home & Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326.
