Elias was born in Jalisco, Mexico. He was a seminarian in Mexico City for 8 years, later immigrated to the United States and eventually settled in Modesto, in the late 1970's.
Elias is survived by his wife Guadalupe of 43 years, sons Juan, Gamaliel, Carlos, daughter Sandra, sisters Guadalupe and Ofelia, 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Elias was a devout Catholic, loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. A special thank you to Community Hospice for all their kind care and support.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Home 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson.
Funeral Services will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road, Modesto, on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 10 a.m.
Elias will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, California.
