Esther Stella Wigt, age 91, of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. Born in French Camp, Esther spent most of her life in Modesto, where she was deeply rooted in her family and community.
Throughout her life, Esther worked at Westport Elementary and was a devoted housewife. She played a vital role in helping run the family’s dairy, embodying dedication and care in all she did.
Esther is survived by her children: John W. Wigt III, Pete Wigt, and Joseph Wigt; along with 5 grandchildren and numerous 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Wigt II, and her grandson, Michael Wigt.
She is now at peace with the Lord.
