George Carvalho Sr., Passed away at the age of 84 on Oct. 21, 2010.
George was born in Wailuku, Maui to Domingo and Mary Carvalho.
He came to California in the late 40's and raised his family in Hayward.
After his retirement from General Motors/Fremont, he fulfilled his dream
of returning to Maui, where he had a ranchette in Haiku.
George loved the rodeo and socializing with his cowboy friends in Makawao.
He returned to California and resided in the town of Ceres for the last 20 years.
His hobbies were woodcarving and playing his guitar at family gatherings.
He was a simple man, who loved animals, music, family and friends;
he was so loved and will be dearly missed.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Isabel Carvalho; Sons: George Carvalho Jr. of Modesto,
Glenn Carvalho of Arizona, Dennis (Roseanne) Carvalho of Nevada;
Brothers: Danny, Ernest, and Walter, all of Hawaii; Sisters: Dorothy of Hawaii and
Betty Lou of Hughson; 7 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; and many Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Domingo and Mary Carvalho; Brothers: Eddie, Domingo Jr.,
Nick, Jimmy and Adam; Sister: Girlie; Grandchildren: Dennis Jr., Sheila and Stanley.
Funeral Services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home on
Saturday Oct. 30th, Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM, followed
by a Chapel Service at 10:30 AM.
