George Richard Lunt

Ponderay, Idaho. He was the middle child of seven siblings

to parents, Ethel Mae Jones and Victor Jennings Lunt. He

joined the United States Navy, where he served during the

Korean war. In 1955, he married the love of his life, Majorie

Aileen Howard. They accomplished many things in their 58

years of marriage, including the purchase of their small

farm in Modesto where he built their home and they raised

their 3 children, Georganna, Brett and Anita. He was

employed by DC Vient painting company for over 40 years,

before retiring. He loved to fish, hunt and go camping. He

blessed three generations with wonderful memories before

passing peacefully at the age of 87, in his home on June

14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie

and son Brett, Father Victor and Mother Ethel. Siblings,

Betty (Vic) Ginn, Vic (Fran) Lunt, Larry Lunt, Jim Lunt. He

is survived by two sisters, Lois (Kain) Votaw and Jaquline

Reynolds. His two daughters, Georganna (John) Boring

and Anita (Ron) Freitas. His Grandchildren, Jessica (Cliff)

Bettencourt, Justin Boring, Brittney (Ren) Wells, Brad

(Marissa) Freitas. And Great Grandchildren, Logan, Derek,

Molly (Bettencourt) Cash, McKoy, Memphys and Kade

(Wells)

The graveside service will be held on June 25, 10:30 am at

Lakewood Memorial 900 Santa Fe Ave Hughson, Ca
