Georgia T. Hernandez Jan 13, 1916 - May 20, 2017 Georgia T. Hernandez, age 101, died peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at English Oaks, Modesto, Ca. She was born January 13, 1916 in Roy, New Mexico.Married October 23, 1939 to Valentine Hernandez for 56 years and preceded her in death in 1995. Georgia is survived by her daughter Charlotte Hinkle and son Richard Hernandez both of Modesto and her son Julian J. Hernandez of Bradgate, IA. Four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. She has three surviving sisters, Jenny Sena and Ida Tienda of Pueblo, CO and Dorothy Montoya of LA. Georgia was known by her gentle smile which reflected her kindness and optimisim regardless of any personal trial. She was a compassionate listener and never judgemental, comforting and calming many souls with her wise perspective. She was a Christian and believed in forgiveness for the healing of one's soul. She was a member of The House Modesto. Services Friday, June 2nd, 10am at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave. Hughson.
