J Don Little

J Don was born in Springfield, Missouri to George Raymond (Ray) Little and Elsie Frances (Pearce) Little. In 1934, when he was four years old, the family moved to Hughson, California. During his 3 years with the Air Force, he was stationed in Pleasanton, CA, Cheyenne WY, Alamogordo NM, Seoul & Osan Korea and Tucson AZ. Other than that, Hughson was J Don's home.

He attended Gratton Elementary and Hughson High School, graduating in 1948. While in High School, J Don earned 15 Block H letters in

Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track, 11 of them at the Varsity level.

"Don" worked for Foster Farms dairy as a milkman and delivery truck driver for 35 years while farming peaches and almonds on Aldrich road.

J Don married Cornelia (Corny) Bess Mills, his High School sweetheart, in 1950. They were married for 62 years until her death in 2012. J Don

and Corny were honored as Grand Marshalls in two parades: HHS Homecoming and a Centennial celebration.

Yolanda Hernandez became an important part of J Don's life from 2013 until her passing in 2018.

Survived by J Don are son Alan (Pamela) Little; daughter Linda (Robert) Martelli; 4 grandchildren-Jerry Jensen, Kyle (Amanda) Little, Erin

(Michael) Amaral, and Alexander (Pamela) Martelli; 10 great grandchildren-Jonathan, Gabriel, Jess, India, Mikaela, Colton, Emilia, Xander,

Paxton and Owen; 1 brother-Darl Little, as well as many extended family members and friends.

A private burial is planned. Please join the family for a celebration of J Don's life at Samaritan Village on Thursday, October 1 at 3:30pm.

Donations honoring J Don may be made to Hughson High School Athletic Program or Community Hospice.
