James (Jim) Joseph Dulisse, 74, of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully at the University of Washington Hospital, in Seattle, Washington surrounded by his family on November 19, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 10, 1939 in Lincoln Park, Michigan and resided in Modesto for over 60 years, and was a devoted and long-standing member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Jim was in the US Army from 1962-1968 and received an Honorable Discharge.
Jim is survived by his wife Lydia, daughters Cindy, Christina (Paul), Carole and Carrie (Harold), his loving grandchildren, and his brother Peter. Jim was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Jim loved photography and captured many events for friends and family alike. He also enjoyed movies, reading and had an affinity for classic cars. Jim was an excellent cook and was known for his pasta sauce and pizzelles. Jim always had a smile on his face and always made those around him feel loved. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 29 at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the next day at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30 also at Lakewood Funeral Home.
