James Michael Nava, 61, of Modesto, passed away on June 4, 2013 with his family by his side after a battle with cancer. Jim graduated from CSU Hayward in 1976. Over the years he had his own United Refrigeration business, worked for Memorial and Doctors Hospitals, with the past 23 years as a facilities coordinator for SCOE.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Linda Nava; his brother, Edward Nava; and son, Daniel Nava. Jim is survived by his wife Becky, his son, Carlos, his daughter, Alicia, & his granddaughter, Kayla.
Jim enjoyed his years of coaching his sons in baseball and attending numerous AJAX soccer tournaments for his daughter. He loved taking his '37 Chevy out for a spin or going on a Harley ride with friends. His memories will be cherished by all who knew him.
Viewing will be Sunday, June 9, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Lakewood.
Memorial services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson, on Monday, June 10, at 2:00 p.m.
