

Joan had attended Riverbank High School and went on to have a career in the medical field doing billing and Environmental Services. She loved her Elvis and Betty Boop memorabilia along with spending her time knitting. She was also a proud supporter of Turning Point and Saint Jude’s. Joan always loved unconditionally and put everyone else first. She enjoyed reading her bible and sending her loved one’s daily prayers. Her favorite color was purple and loved getting herself a Mocha from Starbucks.
Joan is survived by her mother Martha Brown, children Jana Cortese, son Jimmy Whitworth. She is also survived by her Grandchildren William Cortese, Jared Cortese, Peyton Whitworth, Mason Whitworth, and Ayden Whitworth, three sisters, one brother and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father Billy Warren Brown.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00am with a reception to follow in the Private Estate Garden at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
