

JoAnn Fay Haglund, 92, passed away peacefully at Samaritan Village in Hughson, CA. Born in Coalinga, she grew up in Ceres as the youngest of three sisters. She graduated from Modesto Adventist Academy (1950) and Monterey Bay Academy (1954).
She married her high school sweetheart, Don Haglund, and together they raised two children, Steve and Sheri. For many years JoAnn managed the office at Farmers Livestock Market, continuing the family’s auctioneering legacy now carried on by her children and grandchildren.
JoAnn was active in 4-H as a community leader, a lifetime member of Soroptimist International—where she served as a delegate to Japan—and a member of the Red Hat Society. She and Don enjoyed 44 years of marriage filled with travel, cruises, and community before his passing in 1998.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruby Sheldon; husband, Donald Arlen Haglund; sisters, Evelyn Marksman and Nadine Ghaner; son, Steven Ray Haglund; and grandson, Dylan Haglund Linhares. She is survived by her daughter Sheri (David) Linhares; daughter-in-law Jennifer Haglund; grandchildren Clinton (Stephanie) Haglund, Merisha (Tanner) Torrano, and Easton (Jillian) Haglund; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Heritage Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice Health Service Foundation, 4368 Spyers Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
