Bibiji was a strong willed woman who was loved and respected for her maturity and confidence. She leaves behind a legacy of a very large family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She loved going to Gurdwara and attending Nagar Kirtan at Yuba City. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and spending time in nature. In the most recent years she had to give up some of her hobbies as her vision declined, but she still loved going for walks in the backyard and developed a very sweet bond with the family dog Chewie. Her presence was the heart of every family gathering, wedding, and celebration.
Bibiji’s life had many blessings and also hardships. Her strong faith in Sikhi provided a foundation for her to navigate those hardships, giving her strength and solace in difficult times. Being a Jatti farm-girl at heart, she believed in the simple values of hard work and tough love. Her lessons, though sometimes challenging, were rooted in a profound desire to make her loved ones grow strong and independent. The wisdom she imparted to us is forever etched into our hearts. We hope to carry forward her legacy of determination, embracing life with the same strength and integrity that she always exemplified.
May she rest in peace, and be embraced by the light of Waheguru that she so preciously cherished. She was our Matriarch and her memory will be loved and cherished forever.
