Johney Leroy White, 77 of Delhi, passed away on August 7, 2020 in Modesto, CA. He was born in Springfield, MO on May 21, 1943. Johney is a graduate of Turlock High School, and Modesto Junior College, where he received his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and completed the P.O.S.T Academy.
He married Carolyn Storment on July 16, 1967. Johney had a passion for all things outdoors. He loved to go fishing, grow flowers of all kinds, draw, paint and spend time with his beloved grandchildren. His favorite thing to do above all else was to brag about his lovely wife Carolyn.
Johney had varied jobs and careers in his life, including Master Butcher, Stanislaus County Deputy Sheriff, and eventually retiring from many years as a truck driver. He was a member of the Republican Party, lifetime member of the NRA, Good Tidings Assembly of God, and most recently attended Monte Vista Chapel.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn; grown children, Cynthia and spouse Glenn Andrade, Johney and spouse Chris, Tamara and spouse Rolando Garay. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amia, Aiden, Isabella, Ava, Zenon, Lourdes, Aubrie, Harper, and Honorary Grandpa to Zoeey. Johney is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews living in California, Washington, and Missouri.
Graveside service will be held on August 26th @ 10am.
Guests attending the service are asked to remain in or near their vehicle.
