

Jose Ybarra Barron, a longtime resident of Modesto, California, and formerly of Harlingen, Texas, passed away peacefully. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jose was married for 59 years to his beloved wife, Maria Yolanda Barron. Their enduring love began when they met at a dance in Weslaco, Texas, and together they built a life.
A man of strong character and exceptional work ethic, Jose was known for his generosity, kindness, and warm sense of humor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and found great joy in cooking and baking for others. His favorite pastimes included barbecuing and baking Mexican wedding cookies, which he proudly shared with family and friends. He also enjoyed working on classic cars and was a loyal and lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.
Jose and his wife shared a love of travel and made frequent trips to Texas three times each year to visit family. Their travels also took them to Germany and Hawaii, along with visits to New Mexico, Florida, and many other destinations, creating cherished memories along the way. He loved movies, enjoyed music, and was always happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Yolanda Barron, and his children, Dr. Maria Consuelo Barron Nevarez (Andres) and Julia Ann Barron Herrera (Roberto); his grandchildren, Violet, Tiffany (Tony), Andreana (Emanuel), Roberto Jr., Abel, and Melanie; and his great-grandchildren, Adeline and Amelia.
He was preceded in death by his son, Juan Barron, and his parents, Pablo and Tiburcia Barron.
Jose Ybarra Barron’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him, and his legacy of devotion and kindness will continue through generations.
