

Bob was born May 11, 1935, to Joe and Helen Souza. He was raised in Hughson, California where he worked on the family farm. He graduated from Hughson High School. He worked as a truck driver for B&W Eggs and later retired from Gemperle Farms.
In his early years, he enjoyed fishing and camping. He also enjoyed coaching youth sports such as baseball, football and basketball. He was also a Boy Scout Leader. He was also a volunteer fireman and Second Assistant Chief for Industrial Fire Department. Later in life, he and his wife bought a ranch in Hickman where he raised milk cows for many years until he retired and they sold the ranch and moved to Turlock. His biggest joy in life was his family and all his 24 grandchildren who knew him as "Papa Bob". He also enjoyed taking trips to Black Oak Casino.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Zelma Souza, children, Jeff Souza (Kim), Chris Souza (Minda), Rosemary Silva, (Tony), Joey Leandro (Stacey), and Frank Leandro (Anna). Nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and in a few weeks, his first great, great, granddaughter will be born. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Helen Souza. His son Stephen Souza. And three grandsons, Michael Silva, Joseph Leandro and Garrett Leandro.
