Nellie was born to the late James and Grace Overby. Nellie was born in Alex, Oklahoma. She was number 7 of 10 kids. She moved to Modesto/Oakdale CA at a young age and was a life-long resident. She Graduated from Oakdale High Class of 1958. She was a Nurse, stay at home Mom and a devoted Black Oak visitor. She enjoyed going with her baby sister Lucy Turner, cousin Patsy Moran and daughter Kimberly Garcia Gaynor. Nellie was blessed with a large loving family.
She leaves behind her baby sister Lucy "Overby" Turner, and two daughters Grayson Wheeler and Kimberly "Garcia" Gaynor. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandkids.
She will be home coming to her son Johnny Garcia Jr.
She Will Be Greatly Missed.

A funeral service for Nellie will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 starting at 10:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326.
