Juanita Dale Harp 70 years old Hughson, California Juanita entered into her Heavenly Kingdom on Thursday morning, September 22, 2016, after fighting a brave battle against cancer. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Juanita was born on October 8, 1945 to Burl and Martha Beck. Juanita was the eleventh of twelve children and the first of her siblings to be born in a hospital in McAllister, Oklahoma. At the age of three, Juanita moved to California with her family and settled in Fremont. She lived in the Fremont/Milpitas area for the first twenty-six years of her life. She met the love of her life, Otis Harp while working at Bud’s Place. They married on August 31, 1968 and she became wife and mother to Otis’ three daughters. She and Otis moved to Long Beach where they welcomed their two children in 1971 and 1973. After living in Southern California for nine years the family moved to Hughson, California to pursue their dream of owning a trucking business. They bought their ranchette in 1979 and the family still lives there at what is lovingly referred to as The Harp Compound. Juanita filled her days taking care of numerous family members and raising two young children. Her greatest gift in life was being a wonderful caregiver. Countless relatives and friends made their way through the Harp home whether to be cared for by Juanita or just a stopover in their journey through life.
Juanita accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a young child and reaffirmed that faith in 1990 when she and Otis were baptized together at FSBC Waterford. Her greatest peace in life was knowing that eventually she would be in the presence of our Lord and be reunited with Otis for eternity. She was a feisty, full of life woman who is so truly loved and cherished by all who knew her.
