A Poem for Kash
When we first met that is 
Something I can never forget 
You were the first person to talk to me 
I didn’t know anybody 
It was a new class 
Back in third grade 
We talked and you made me laugh 
Since we met it was never the same 
I remember playing zombie tag 
out in the rain 
We got older 
and we went our separate ways 
But life is crazy and it put us back together It was amazing how much older we had gotten 
But you were always there in my mind 
I made sure you were never forgotten 
So we were back together again 
Like we had never parted 
You were my best friend 
and always open hearted 
When we talk about the good old days 
The storms in our lives would fade away 
We had to part once more but we still would check in 
We would ask each other how we’ve been 
When I got the news 
It’s not fair you were taken to soon
I sat and I cried I don’t want to lose you 
It’s not fair that you died 
I want you back and I miss you 
You will always be the best friend I knew 
You will always have a spot in my heart 
We were best friends from the start 
I’ll never let you go 
I just need you to know 
I will always love you 
And remember everything 
we have been through 
You were always my best friend 
Even up until the end 
I knew you would always do amazing things 
And now you have saved six lives 
But there is a seventh because 
You also saved mine
Thank you Kash I love you

This day was our first prom together, we walked all the way to the school together in the cold with heels on and when we got there we both decided that it was boring and walked home and decided to watch movies all night together with our other friends. The night was filled with laughter and a lot of snacks.

Kash was like a sister to me and was my best friend for 9 years, we went through heartbreak together, trips together, sleepovers, elementary school. This night was the night we both got on all the rides at the local fair in my town and almost threw up from how fast they were going.
