

Kaye graduated from Pembina High School in 1955 and attended Mayville State Teachers College before becoming a teacher at Langton Morris School in Neche, N.D. Kaye married Airman Stanley Wengert in 1967 and followed his Air Force career. Traveling through Omaha, NE and Riverside, CA, they made Modesto their home in 1973 where Stan retired.
Kaye was a member of the VFW Woman's Auxiliary which she stayed very involved in. Kaye made many donations to the Wounded Warriors and volunteered many hours toward support of the men and woman of the armed forces. Kaye was also a member of the California Striped Bass Association for over 30 years.
Kaye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Kathryn Grube and her two sons, Jeffrey and Jerry Kain. She is survived by her husband Stanley Wengert, her two daughters Tammi (Kevin) Aqueche of Hughson and Terri (Robert) Capps of Manteca; Sister Percette Forbes of N.D. and brother Lawrence (Judy) Grube of N.D.; 7 Grandchildren, Stefanie, Ashley, Dylan, Alyssa, Laneea, Trevor and Kyler; 2 Great Granddaughters, Taydem and Emma.
Mom, you will be truly missed but never ever forgotten. Suffer no more and rest in peace with all the other angels; we will always love you!
Private Burial. Please join us in the Celebration of her life on Wednesday April 15th at 1:00 PM at the Eagles Hall 126 Camellia Way, Modesto.
