Kenneth N. Hansen

APR 21, 1920 - DEC 25, 2010

Born in Modesto to H. Victor Hansen and Ceola Mae Hansen.

Ken graduated from Hughson High in 1938. Ken served in the

U.S. Army Air Corp from Aug. 1942 to Feb. 1946. Upon his

discharge he attended MJC and Chico State College.

Ken retired in 1982 from Stanislaus County Welfare Dept.

after 24 1/2 years of service. Ken pitched baseball in his youth

and was an avid sports fan. He was thrilled to see the SF Giants

win the World Series earlier this year. Ken had a passion for

gardening, raising vegetables and fruit trees and doing woodwork projects.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 74 and Resco.

Ken is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara J. Hansen.

His children, Patricia (Rudolph) Weiglein, Chris Hansen, Janice (Allen) Stark;

grandchildren, Michelle (Josh) Buchanan, Andrew Weiglein, Brooke and

Jennifer Stark; and great-grandson Rivers Buchanan. He is also survived by

his sister, Marjorie Moser. He is predeceased by sisters and brothers-in-law,

Shirley & Douglas Hass, Dorothy & Harold Coleman and Bill Moser.

At Ken's request, there will be no services.

Lakewood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Interment at Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery.
