Lawana Ontiveroz, 60 of Modesto, passed away Nov. 28, 2014 at her home. Lawana was born Sept. 25, 1954 in Oakland, CA. Her family then moved to Modesto where she attended Shackelford Elementary, Mark Twain Jr. High, Modesto HS and Modesto Jr. College. She met and married Raymond Ontiveroz, her high school sweetheart.
Lawana went on to become a secretary and eventually a fulltime stay at home mom to raise their two sons. Lawana enjoyed spending time with her family and loved seeing her grandchildren. She took pleasure in helping anyone who needed help, as long as she was able. She also enjoyed photography and animals. She raised four dogs and one cat.
Lawana is survived by her husband of 40 years, Raymond; her two sons, Ryan Ontiveroz and Jason Ontiveroz; and five grandchildren, Alex, Katrina, Jacqueline, Lia and Ariana.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 10th from 10am-12pm with a service to follow at 12:00noon. Both services to be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel.
