Larry, 63, was born on March 1st, 1960 to Marion "Snodgrass" and George Dickey in Canoga Park, Ca. He entered into Heaven on September 28th, 2023. The family moved to the Little Rock,California area in 1962.
Larry was a master carpenter, he was a superintendent for Ron Dos Ries and had his own company "Action Builders" for 30 years. Where they called him "The Legend" because of his stair building skills. He also took part in building Toon Town at Disneyland where he was very proud of all the special cuts he was able to make.
He met his wife Pat "Tric" when she was 12 and he was 13 years old, not knowing that in 9 years they would become a couple, and 2 years later they would become husband and wife. They would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on October 23rd. They had 2 children together, Renee' and Larry Jr which he took care of to the point his hands would bleed. After he retired he wanted nothing more but to spend as much time as he could with his 5 Grandkids. He taught them all carpentry, woodworking, plumbing, machinery, how to be a mechanic, how to BBQ, be a gardener and so much more. He also was able to teach his nieces and nephews these things.
Bub was his first born grandson so he spoiled him rotten. Right before his passing he had just finished his third grandson Brandin's football game where he told me how proud he was to watch him play and how cool it was to see his 4th Grandson Bentley out on the field being the water boy for the team. He was also able to sit with his 2nd Grandson Jimi and his 5th Grandson Jaymason and watch the game and talk to them. All of which he loved to play basketball with. That weekend he was also able to visit with his Son-In-Law Justin and his Daughter-In-Law Jennie both of which he loved very much.
Larry loved making people laugh, he loved work, and taking care of his family and friends. Most of all he was always there to help anyone that needed him.
Larry is survived by his wife Pat "Tric", Daughter Renee' "Justin", Son Larry "Jennie", His 5 grandsons, Bub, Jimi, Brandin, Bentley, and Jaymason and his 4 great grandchildren Roseabella, Kingston, Kyston, and Easton. His sisters, Chrissy, Bonnie and Diane. Special Brother- in- laws Samuel, Robert and Steve, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his Mom, Dad, Mother and Father in laws, His loving sister Lindy and his Nephews David and Jason.
Larry is deeply missed. He has left a huge hole in the hearts of the ones that love him. Life will never be the same as we have lost a great soul here on Earth but we hold onto the promise that we will see him again in Heaven one day.
Larry's service will be held at First Baptist Church of Newman on October 14th, 2023 at 2pm.
