Linda Mae Hackney, age 70, passed away Sunday of acute kidney failure. Born and educated in Modesto, she married her husband Richard in 1960 and, with him, maintained homes in Mississippi, Madera, the Philippines, Germany, Fresno, San Diego, San Bruno and Ridgecrest, before returning to Modesto in 1997.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jessie Quesenberry, older brother Frankie, her beloved younger brother Noel and her oldest daughter, Stephanie. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Richard, two daughters, Merry and Susanne, five grandchildren, brothers Donald and David Quesenberry, sister Norma Foster Maddy, many nephews and nieces and a host of close and loving friends throughout the country.
A private memorial service is planned.
