Linda was born to Marvin and Barbara Ellington on May 18, 1951. She was raised in San Francisco, CA until moving to Fremont, CA in 1991 and then to Hughson, CA in 2006.
She graduated from Balboa High School in the Spring of 1969. After high school, she attended beauty school and became a hairdresser. She later attended the Revere Academy of Jewelry in San Francisco. She spent most of her career engraving jewelry at Woolworth’s and The Wholesale Jewelers Exchange in Downtown San Francisco. Her free hand engraving was impeccable.
Linda was a talented artist and loved creating all different types of art. She mastered everything she tried, whether it was jewelry, ceramics, painting, sewing, crochet, or paper crafting. Her creative spirit lives on in each piece of her art.
She survived cancer twice, and over the years she encouraged and supported many other survivors in online groups. She cared deeply for the relationships she forged, whether online or in-person.
She had a large circle of friends, some of which she had been friends with since kindergarten. Even though she was an only child, she had a large extended family by blood, marriage, and choice. Many of her daughters’ friends regard her as an additional mother figure.
She is survived by her husband Steven Holly, daughters Christine
Ross (Jason), Jamie Holly, Melissa Amarillas (Michael), and her six grandchildren Amanda, Jonathan, Nicholas, Logan, Lily & Michael III.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
