Linda Colleen Park

Linda Colleen Hurst Park was born on August 12, 1941, in Venice, California. She attended schools in the local area and married her partner for life and best friend James Park on December 24, 1959. James enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1959. She traveled with him to Jacksonville, North Carolina for his first military assignment at Camp Lejeune, where they lived in a very small mobile trailer. As James pursued his military career, Linda stayed in Modesto while he served in Vietnam and Guam. She moved with him as he served at Fort Meade,Maryland, Puerto Rico and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.Over this time, Linda gave birth and raised two sons, Steven and Rusty and a daughter, Kimberly. When James retired from the service in 1979, the family moved back to Modesto where James began a second career as a postal worker. James passed away on November 4, 2011. Linda passed away on November 9, 2022

A memorial service for Linda will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
