Luis Duarte was born in Ziquitaro Michoacán Mexico to Pablo Duarte Perez and Maria Mejia Cortez. He married Maria del Socorro Mejia on April 7, 1948 and together they had eight children. Luis brought his family to Oakdale California in 1968. Luis Duarte was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to many. He worked for Hunts Wesson from 1962- 1990. Luis was a resident of Riverbank from 1973-2000 and lived in Ceres rom 2000-2025. Luis will be greatly missed and his spirit will live though many. He is survived by his younger sister Magdalena Arias Duarte, his children; Rosa Vargas, Florencio Duarte, Maria Avelar, Ignacio Duarte, Hector Duarte, and Susana Duarte. He was blessed with 24 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
