When I first married my husband, Jose, I didn’t realize that my mother-in-law, Margarita, would make our lives easier by helping us raise our four beautiful children. She was their babysitter while we went to work. She got up early mornings to prepare them for school. She cooked, she dressed them up, she tightly bundled the girls’ hair, she served them breakfast...and kid you not, she asked each one of them what they want to eat and she cooked them without any complaints. She walked them to school and back, rain or shine. That was her daily routine and not once she complained. She never drove, so walking was her only way of getting around town while we’re at work. She walked to stores to grab ingredients she will be needing for the next day. Never she asked once to give her money for them. She would always come home with gelatina and Mexican bread for the family. She’s that kind of grandma who always makes the kitchen warm and keeps the smell of the house like food when you enter it. We will miss her presence dearly.

Mom, thank you for sharing your life with us and thank you for all that you did for our family. We love you 🌹🕊💐. May you find peace as you rest.
