Marjorie Eileen Pack

Marge passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026 at the age of 101. She was born January 27 1925, the first child of Emanuel and Alberta Wilken. Her younger brother Gene was born 3 years later. The family moved to Turlock, CA when she was a young child, then on to Modesto. She graduated from Modesto High school in 1942. In 1946, she met Kenneth Pack and they married in 1947. Together they had 6 children, raising them in Concord and Sonora. Ken’s job with Wells Fargo bank took them to various towns in CA, until he retired from Fresno, Ca. They then returned to Modesto, before settling permanently in Hilmar. She was known for her love of family, books and reading, especially a good mystery. She was a wonderful cook, always ready to try new recipes. She loved to travel, spending her retirement years touring the country in the RV with Ken. She was always active in her community, no matter where that was. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Marge is survived by her children Ted Pack (Linda) of Hughson, California, Bruce Pack (Gabie) of Hawaii, Jim Pack (Sue) of Vacaville, California, Mary Anne Nixon (John) of Hilmar, California and Donald Pack of Turlock, California

Marge had thirteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth Pack, parents Emanuel and Alberta Wilken, brother Gene Wilken and son Thomas Pack (Sandy).

Private services are pending.

Marge’s life was characterized by her love for her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always supported and loved to hear what each of them were involved in.
