Mary lou Gunn, of Modesto, passed away on Monday, April 5th, at 86 years of age. Mary was a native of Oklahoma, but lived all her adult life in California. She was an avid baseball fan, supporting the Modesto Reds, the Modesto A's and then the Modesto Nuts until about four years ago, when her health prevented her from attending games.
In the past, Mary enjoyed camping and quilting, and for many years was a teacher's aide at Burbank School, where her own children attended grammar school. Upon their retirement, Mary and her husband enjoyed traveling, both in the U. S. and in Europe.
Mary is survived by her husband Jim and son Larry, both of Modesto, and daughter Peggy of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Mary was preceded in death by her son Harold.
She had five grandchildren; Ron, Paul, Scott, Chris and Becky, and six great grandchildren.
