

Melba Price, 80, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 24, 2010. She was surrounded by her family at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, Ca. She was born in Natoma, Ca. to Orval and Elizabeth Crosson on April 21, 1930. She and sister Wanda, were raised in Galt, Ca., where they attended Galt Union High School. That is where she met and married the love of her life, Jim Price. They moved to Modesto in 1955, when Jim accepted a football coaching position at Modesto High School. With Melba by his side they began building custom homes. That is when Price Development Inc. was born. Melba, with daughter Sandi expanded the business to include The Price House Interiors. Although a gifted designer, Melba’s heart was always at home, being a loving Wife, Mother and Grammy.
She is preceded in death by both Parents, Orval and Elizabeth Crosson.
She is survived by sister and best friend, Wanda Brooks, Modesto Ca. Husband of 61 years, Jim Price, Modesto, Ca. Daughters: Sandi Duncan (Mike), La Quinta, Ca. Karen Ellis (Greg), Knights Ferry, Ca. Wanda McGill (Billy), Modesto, Ca. and Lori Zambruno (Dave), Hughson, Ca. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.(#6 is due in February)
