Michael passed away peacefully under the wonderful care at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. He was born in San Andreas, California to parents Earl and Eileen Kelly. Mike served honorably in the Navy for four years. He worked most of his career as a cost estimator and yard supervisor at a building material company. If you could think it up, he could draw it up.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Pat of 59 years of marriage. Together, they planted roots in the Stanislaus county area for the duration of their life together. He is also survived by his daughters Stacey (Joe) Leandro and Trisha Tobin. Mike was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joseph Leandro and Garrett Leandro. He leaves behind three grandchildren Daniel Valim, Matthew Tobin and Phillip Tubera III; his brother Dennis (Kathy) Kelly; half-sisters Cherry (Bill) Shipp, Colleen Parks; and sister-in-laws Ann (Lee) Andersen and Jane (Chuck) Hetland. Along with many nieces and nephews. Let’s not forget his beloved fur babies Paco and Hannah.
Mike’s true love was his family and watching his grandson’s “be boys”. He loved to teach them to fish, hunt, all about cars/trucks and the appreciation of antique firearms.
Mike had a life well-lived, his way. He had a loving heart and has a lasting legacy. He has much to honor, remember and celebrate about his life.
Our deepest gratitude for the wonderful care dad received at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Any memorial offerings can be given in the form of donation to the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.
