With faith in God’s promises and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce that Michael Eugene Kealoha Maness, age 64, entered into the presence of the Lord on May 6 2026, at his home in Hughson, California.
Born on September 28, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Annie Marino. Michael lived a life grounded in faith, love, and devotion to family. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1981 and faithfully walked with the Lord throughout his life.
Michael was known for his Love for God, gracious heart towards others, his steadfast unwavering Love for his wife and children.
Throughout his career Michael worked in education with a passion for coaching. He worked as a correction officer and approached every responsibility with integrity, humility, and dedication. Outside of work, Michael found joy in the love of his life, Sandie; his children and grandchildren; family gatherings; all things ocean; music; art; skateboarding; sport; and joy. He loved to laugh. He was meticulous in doing all things well, from the smallest detail of laundry and order to presenting himself and his family well. As Michael would say, “Yes, there is only one correct way to load a dish washer, and multitasking is merely an excuse for mediocrity.”
Michael deeply loved his family and leaves behind:
His wife Sandie Maness
His children: Bryce and Maggie Maness; Shayna and Cody Holt; Sarah and Bradley Hasseler; and Elizabeth Madulara
His 11 grandchildren: Shiley, Janessa, Sawyer, Rori, Avery, Corbin, Charlotte, Ruby, Harrison, Elsey, Hartley
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Annie Marino;
His Sister, Daylynn Burkle;
Father in law, Russel Robinson;
And son-in-law, Ian Madulara
Though our hearts grieve this earthly loss, we rejoice knowing that Michael Maness is now at peace in the arms of Jesus, restored and made whole.

Michael did not choose to leave this beautiful life he had here on earth, but given the choice now, in the glorious presence of his God, he would not desire to return. However, He joyfully awaits the day when those he loves will gather with him to behold the Saviour’s face.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7
