Mike Junior Marquez

Mike Marquez, born April 27, 1954, in Modesto, CA, peacefully passed away February 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mike found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to music, camping, and cheering on his favorite teams, the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.

For 45 years, Mike was deeply devoted to his beloved wife, Betty Marquez, cherishing, honoring, and loving her with all his heart. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter.

Mike was a proud father to Michelle Campbell and her husband Eric Sr. of Mocksville, NC; Michael Marquez and his wife Stephanie of Modesto, CA; and Derek Marquez and his wife Jessica, also of Modesto, CA. He was an adoring grandfather to Eric Campbell, Brooklyn Marquez, Raegan Campbell, Jaxson Marquez, Lincoln Marquez, and Adilynn Marquez, who brought endless joy to his life.

He is survived by his loving siblings, James Marquez and his wife Wendy, Mary Barber and her husband Robert, and Anna Stark and her husband Ron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel M. Marquez and Rita Oliver Marquez.

A memorial service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, located at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA, on March 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a reception and celebration of Mike’s life at Tuolumne River Lodge, 2429 River Rd, Modesto, CA 95351, at 1:00 PM.

Mike’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will forever be remembered. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
