He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eileen; sons Chris (Lynda) of Minneapolis, MN, Sean (Jackie) of Las Vegas, NV; father Jack of Atwater; brothers Lloyd of Red Bluff, CA and Scott of Anchorage, AK. Miles also had four grandchildren: Ella, Matthew, Willy, and Samuel. His mother, Vivian, preceded him in death.
Miles worked as a Vice President of Investments for Wells Fargo Advisors of Modesto, with a primary focus on retirement, at the time of his death. Miles graduated from Atwater High School and his family moved to Alaska soon thereafter. After completing an Accounting Degree at the University of Alaska, Miles worked as a Controller for Brice Construction in Fairbanks, AK. In 1976, Miles moved his family to Ceres to start up a construction company with his father and uncle. A few years later he began a new career as a Stock Broker for EF Hutton of Modesto and continued in the money management business for the next 35 years.
"Mick", as his friends called him, hobbies included: daily crosswords, market watch on MSNBC, Tennis, and Pinnacle. Miles was a member of the Sportsman of Stanislaus (SOS) of Modesto starting in 1978, and also served on the Finance Committee. Dad's biggest passion was travel; specifically visiting his children and grandchildren in Minnesota and Nevada. His family, extended family, and many friends will sorely miss Miles.
