Mohinder Kaur Chahal

Smt. Mohinder Kaur Chahal, wife of Late S. Raghbir Singh Chahal passed away on March 26th, 2013 at Doctors Hospital in Modesto, CA at the age of 78. She was born on June 14, 1934 in Salloh Majra, Punjab, India to S. Arjan Singh Dhillon and Smt. Bagwant Kaur Dhillon.

She is survived by her five living children: Kuldeep Singh Chahal of Modesto, CA, Paramjit Kaur Grewal of Modesto, CA, Rachpal Kaur Dhillon of Modesto, CA, Kanwaljit Singh Chahal of Ceres, CA, and Baljit Kaur Bath of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband S. Raghbir Singh Chahal, two children: Manjit Singh Chahal and Parveen Kaur Gill, and her two grandchildren. She was a happy grandmother of 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

She was a devout Sikh, a devoted house wife, a loving mother, beloved grandmother and great grand-mother. She came to America in 1983 and settled down with her family in Modesto, CA. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and loved ones. She will be remembered for her selfless, loving and caring nature. Her charismatic personality will never be forgotten and will forever be etched in the hearts she touched. She is greatly loved and missed by all who had the honor of having her in their life.

Funeral Services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Heritage Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA 95326. Viewing is held on Saturday, April 6th, 2013 from 12pm to 4pm and Funeral Service on Sunday, April 7th, 2013 from 1pm to 3pm. After the funeral, praying ceremony will be held at The Sikh Temple, 5743 E. Hatch Rd, Hughson, CA.
