Loved by everyone who knew her. Nancy was an amazing women, an inspiration and a great role model.
She made the world and everyone around her better. Nancy was born on January 29, 1929 in San Giuseppe Jato, Italy. Born to Antonino and Rosalia Dilibero; one of seven children. She fell in love with Vincent Montalbano and they were later married in Sicily in 1958. She moved to the US with her husband in 1958 and lived in San Jose, California for many years. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Montalbano in May 27,1982. Later in 2007 she moved to Modesto, California to be closer to her daughter and grandson. One of Nancy's many gifts to others was cooking authentic Sicilian cuisine for family and friends. She was well known for her delicious lasagna, pasta and cannolis. She had a love of gardening and grew all her own herbs, vegetables and fruits. Some of which she canned. She had an incomparable loving nature and vibrant spirit.
Nancy leaves behind her loving daughter Rosalie Gardella. She was a loving grandmother to Joseph Gardella, her only grandchild whom she adored. We cherished her as a mother and grandmother, She will be greatly missed. We will remember her for her love and generosity to all. She was a relentless believer in the Lord, may she rest in peace. She will be forever in our hearts.
