Ofelia Villagomez Campos

Ofelia was born in McAllen, Texas on March 22, 1944. She spent the first 6 years of her life in Texas before relocating to Tzintzuntzan, Michoacan, Mexico. At the age if 18 she met the love of her life, Saul Villagomez Sanchez at one of his basketball games. They were married 2 years later and moved to Hughson, CA. She worked for 50 years at the Midvalley Nut Company.

Ofelia was deeply religious, had a generous giving nature and a strong work ethic providing for her family for 3 generations. Ofelia graciously welcomed friends and family into her home and frequently opened her home to relatives who needed the assistance.

She loved her great grandchildren beyond measure, delighting in spending time with them, whether it was watching them ride their dirt bikes, swim, going to Disneyland or play at a pumpkin festival. She loved seeing her family happy. She also liked to travel enjoying several trips to Europe, and Hawaii. She particularly enjoyed Lake Tahoe and going to casinos at Blackoak.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Lorena Zavala, her great grandchildren- Saul Villagomez, Daniel Villagomez, Miguel Villagomez and Abby Villagomez, her grand son in law, Magdaleno Rodriguez, granddaughter Dayanara Riviera, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Saul Villagomez-Sanchez, and her brother Daniel Zavala Campos.

An open rosary will be held at the Lakewood Chapel on Feb 26th at 5:00-8:00pm.

A Mass will be held at St Anthony’s Catholic Church on Feb 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM, 7820 Fox Rd, Hughson, CA 95326

The Burial will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Feb 27, 2026, immediately following the Mass.

A celebration of her life will follow at her home.

Ofelia Villagomez, de 82 años, falleció el 7 de febrero de 2026, rodeada de su querida familia y amigos en Hughson, California.

Ofelia nació en McAllen, Texas, el 22 de marzo de 1944. Pasó los primeros 6 años de su vida en Texas antes de mudarse a Tzintzuntzan, Michoacán, México. A los 18 años conoció al amor de su vida, Saúl Villagómez Sánchez, en uno de sus partidos de baloncesto. Se casaron dos años después y se mudaron a Hughson, California. Trabajó durante 50 años en Midvalley Nut Company.

Ofelia era una persona profundamente religiosa, generosa y con una sólida ética de trabajo, manteniendo a su familia durante tres generaciones. Ofelia recibía con generosidad a amigos y familiares en su hogar y con frecuencia abría las puertas de su casa a quienes necesitaban ayuda.

Amaba inmensamente a sus bisnietos y disfrutaba pasando tiempo con ellos, ya fuera viéndolos montar sus motos, nadar, ir a Disneylandia o jugar en un festival de calabazas. Le encantaba ver a su familia feliz. También disfrutaba viajando, y disfrutó de varios viajes a Europa y Hawái. Disfrutaba especialmente del lago Tahoe y de los casinos de Blackoak.

La recuerdan con cariño su hermana, Lorena Zavala, sus bisnietos: Saúl Villagómez, Daniel Villagómez, Miguel Villagómez y Abby Villagómez, su nieto político, Magdaleno Rodríguez, su nieta Dayanara Riviera y muchos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Saúl Villagómez-Sánchez, y su hermano, Daniel Zavala Campos.

Se celebrará un rosario público en la Capilla de Lakewood el 26 de febrero de 17:00 a 20:00 h. Se celebrará una misa en la Iglesia Católica de San Antonio el 27 de febrero de 2026 a las 11:00 a. m., ubicada en 7820 Fox Rd, Hughson, CA 95326.

El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Parque Memorial Lakewood el 27 de febrero de 2026, inmediatamente después de la misa.

Se celebrará posteriormente su memoria en su hogar.

En lugar de flores, por favor, envíe una donación al Hospital Infantil de San Judas.
