Patricia Curtis Cosgrave

Patricia "Pat" Cosgrave, 82 of Modesto, passed away at Memorial Hospital, with her family at her side. Pat was born in Woodlake, CA to Strever and June Curtis. She graduated from Woodlake High School with honors. She attended College of the Sequoias before moving on to the University of California Davis. While in school at Davis, she met and married her husband, Russel Cosgrave. Pat graduated in 1952 with a B.S. degree in Home Economics and a teaching credential. She taught Home Economics at Downey, Ceres and Beyer High Schools. After retiring in 1988, she was active in the Stanislaus Retired Teachers Association, traveling, and being a grandmother. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren on our "farm", west of Salida. Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Russel Cosgrave; sons, Wesley and Steven (Vickie); daughter, Cindy Mae Peters (Rodney); 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother, Bob (Betty) of Reno; and her sister, Adalyn Hollis of Visalia. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Fred Curtis. Visitation is Thursday, March 22, from 4 to 8 pm at LAKEWOOD Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 23 at 10:00 am at LAKEWOOD Funeral Home Riverside Chapel.
