

Born in Rib Lake, Wisconsin, peacefully went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family on January 29, 2019 in Modesto, CA. Paul was blessed with 60 years of marriage to Cleta Marie Targos (Nov 29, 1958).
His parents are the late Stephan and Gladys Targos. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Stephan (Shirley) Targos, Leo (Jean) Targos, and Joseph (baby) Targos; sister, Gladys (Art) Claes; and grandson, Jason Bender.
Paul is survived by his sons, Paul (Rosie) Targos Jr and Rodney (Marilyn) Targos; daughters, Barbara (Junior, dec.) Bender and Stacey Targos; sisters, Margaret (Jack) Cameron and Julie (Duwane) Mayotte.
Grandchildren, Donnie Bender, Ashley (Gabe) Bender, Corey (Annie) Targos, Joseph (Sarah) Targos, and Matthew Targos; Great-grandchildren, Xzavier Bender, Angel Bender, Armani Bender, Jack Targos and Ryker Targos.
Paul cherished the many relationships with family and friends and enjoyed traveling, playing solitaire, and visiting the casino.
Paul enlisted at the age of 17 and proudly served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Second Class Aviation Ordnanceman (A02) from 1953 to 1965. Subsequently, Paul worked at Defense Logistics Agency in Tracy, CA with a final retirement from Chiron Corporation in Vacaville, CA.
Friends and family members are invited to attend the visitation on Feb 3rd (Sun) from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Memorial Service on Feb 4th (Mon) at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home.
