Pearl was born in Connecticut to Franklin Estabrook and Mary Shadduck on September 11, 1932. Pearl and her family made the move to Waterford, California when she was young. She attended Oakdale High School and attended Stanislaus State College in Turlock for a college education. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, graduating with the college's first class that she affectionately referred to as "Turkey Tech".
Pearl met the love of her life, Duane, and the two married. The pair had four children; Charlene, Laura, Debra, and John. Along with being a loving wife and mother, Pearl dedicated 27 years to Salida Unified School District as a teacher, and officially retired from her position in 1990.
Pearl was an active member of the LDS Church and Twin Cities Ward, as well as stayed active with the Galt Seniors Club and Red Hats for many years. When she was relaxing at home, Pearl kept busy with cross-stitching and crocheting for her children and grandchildren.
Pearl is preceded in death by her husband Duane E. Longmire, her grandson John W. Longmire, and her granddaughter Riley K. Bond. She is survived by her children - Mary Charlene Wright, Laura Jean Lucas, Debra Ann Dial (Brian), and John Duane Longmire (Julie) - and her expanding family of 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Pearl will begin at 10:00AM on January 27th in Lakewood Funeral Home's Riverside Chapel, followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM. The service will be led by Bishop Ranse Gale, with Scott Shaffer as speaker. A graveside service will take place in Lakewood Memorial Park promptly after the funeral service.
