March 5th, 1932 – January 23rd, 2025
Rex married the love of his life, Helen, and they shared 72 incredible years together, raising a family and creating countless memories in Modesto, California.
Rex's greatest joys in life were fishing and spending time with his family and friends. His love, kindness, and generosity inspired all who knew him. Rex will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all whose lives he touched. His legacy of devotion, service, and love will continue to inspire future generations.
Rex is survived by his children, Craig Embry, (Denise) Kent Embry (Terri), and Pam Shaffer (Wes); 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by his wife Helen and children Robert and Gary.
A celebration of Rex's life will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on February 6th. Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m., followed by services at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held after the service for family and friends to gather and remember Rex.
