Richard “Rick” Kenneth Nelson, age 68, of Modesto, California passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Richard was born April 25, 1953 in Glendale California to Marjorie (Doland) Nelson and Kenneth Nelson.
Rick enjoyed spending his time building things, and creating artwork out of items he would find. He was known as "Mr. Fix it", he was always fixing things; everyone knew he was able to fix almost anything. He loved to garden and always made sure all of his plants were taken care of. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking and going to the beach. He enjoyed sports; he was a faithful 49ers & SF Giants fan. Rick was very kind hearted and loved being able to help others. He was family oriented and loved spending time with them.
Richard is survived by his spouse of 31 years, Lillian Nelson; his daughter Christina Hall; and his son Jeremy France; his mother Majorie Nelson-Weaver; his sister Sandra Grave and his brother Bradley Nelson.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Nelson.
Memorial Service for Richard will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home-Heritage chapel on December 4, 2021 at 11:00am.
