Robbie, 72, was born in Hemet, California to Charles H. and Ina O. Stark. She and her brother Bill, lived and grew up in Modesto, where the family had settled in 1943. She attended Thomas Downey High School, graduating class of 1961. Robbie worked in a variety of jobs until 1963 when she met a skinny kid from Ceres, and her life changed forever. She and Don were married on August 8th 1964 and then moved to Ceres. A few years later Robbie began her career at Gallo Glass Co. where she spent 31 years until her retirement. Her world was full; she was a loving and proud mother and grandmother to her daughter, Michele and granddaughters, Amanda and Elizabeth. She and her husband Don were approaching 52 years of marriage and were making plans for old age and the hopes of traveling. Robbie was a very talented artist, she loved to paint and was an avid reader. One of her hobbies was cooking and collecting recipes. She loved to travel and would often visit various states with her best friend and cousin Gwen.
As fate sometimes decrees, she became ill with diabetes and other associated maladies. She fought the disease with the same tenacity with which she lived, however, at the end she became too weak to fight any longer and went home to her Lord on February 5, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. Stark and her mother Ina O. Stark, her brother Bill Stark and her beloved cousin Gwen Truesdail. She is survived by her husband Donald D. Tilley of Ceres, her daughter Michele Tilley-Robinett of Ceres and granddaughters, Amanda A. Arrollo of Sacramento and Elizabeth D. Robinett of Ceres.
A special thank you to Diana Haliday and Heidi Dooley for being by her side with her daughter Michele during the last hours of her life and for their unwavering support to the family.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home; Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm followed by a Chapel Service and committal at 1:00pm.
