JAN. 5, 1935 - FEB. 19, 2014
Robert Curci, aged 79, passed away after a recent illness. He was born on January 5, 1935, to Nick and Angie (Palermo) Curci, who predeceased him. Left with heavy hearts are his wife of 56 years, Shirley (Wilson) Curci; daughter Karen Curci (Robert Smith) and her children Connor and Emma Kirk; daughter Jennifer Curci and her children James Curci and Aaron Curci Chamberlin; daughter Anna Curci (JC Taggart) and her children Joshua and Olivia Curci; sister Charleen Pierce (Loren); brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ray and Barbara Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins in the area.
Robert spent many years farming in Stanislaus County, but his real calling was as a carpenter. He was a true craftsman and perfectionist who took great pride in everything he worked on. He was a loyal Dodger fan. One of the high points in his life was getting to see Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale pitch in Dodger Stadium. There was absolutely nothing he would not do for his family. His wife and daughters meant the world to him, and they will be left with so many memories of his tenderness and generosity. A special thanks goes to Charles and Gwen Reynolds, whose visits meant so much and revived so many happy memories. Also, many thanks to the wonderful nurses and aides on the Cardiac Telemetry unit at Memorial Hospital; who showed countless acts of kindnesses and caring.
Graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, in the Tuolumne Garden, on February 25th at 1:00pm.
