Robert was born and raised in Modesto, CA. He was blessed with so many creative gifts from God. He grew up learning design at an early age while traveling to San Francisco, New York, France on a regular basis. He continued to build his design foundation while working for Dan Marty Designs while in Newport Beach. He was an incredible musician and was the lead singer and bass player in the progressive/funk/rock band Triple Wisdom. He was a contemporary oil painter with pieces in several art galleries, offices, and restaurants scattered along the west coast. He was an avid knife and watch maker as well.
Robert was lead for his men's bible study group, which was pivotal in his life and to those who attended. He worked for Daiichi Sankyo as a senior territory manager for oncology pharmaceutical sales since 2020, but more importantly, he immensely loved his associates from the company as if they were his own family, and they did back! Robert had a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. He lit up any room he entered and was hilarious, he always had a knack for turning frowns upside down as he just truly loved people, and most of all, he loved the Lord with all his heart!
Robert is survived by his wife Ginny Merritt (Conrad) and their children Daniel and William Merritt. He is also survived by his parents Robert and Vivian (Martino) Merritt, and his siblings April (Jeff) Duarte, Nicholas, and Vito Merritt, all who will miss Robert dearly.
Robert is predeceased by his grandparents Clarence and Laverne Merritt, and Nicholas and Vivian Martino.
