

Robert Antone Souza, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. Born on January 25, 1953, Robert was a longtime resident of Modesto, California, and formerly of San Jose, where he built a life grounded in dedication, family, and quiet strength.
A graduate of Lynbrook High School, Class of 1971, Robert went on to build a remarkable 30-year career with IBM. Known for his unwavering reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike throughout his career.
In 1979, Robert married the love of his life, Teresa Souza. Together they shared a devoted and enduring partnership, raising two daughters, Christina and Lisa, and creating a home filled with love, support, and cherished memories.
Robert found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pursuits. He had a passion for woodworking, an eye for photography, and a love of travel that took him to many memorable places, especially going to concerts with his wife Teresa. A dedicated sports fan, he faithfully cheered on the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. Above all, he will be remembered for his steady presence, deep devotion to his family, and the quiet grace and integrity with which he lived his life.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Teresa Souza; his daughters, Christina Procopio and Lisa Ramirez; and his cherished grandchildren, Natalie and Valerie Procopio, and Rhys Ramirez.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Connie Souza.

A visitation will be held on April 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Heritage Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson, California.
A funeral service will follow immediately from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the same location, offering an opportunity for remembrance, reflection, and tribute.
A committal service will take place on April 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park, where Robert will be laid to rest with dignity and care.
A reception will follow the committal service at Lakewood Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Robert’s life together.
