

Sammie Charles Joslin was born in Castle, Oklahoma on August 16, 1939 and passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2016. Sammie lived in Oklahoma until he was 12 years old before his family moved to California. After graduating from Ceres High School, Sammie worked for local nurseries and in landscaping throughout his adult years. Sammie loved country music and loved signing in local bars in his younger years.
Sammie leaves behind his sisters Cathlene June (Murel) Barnes and Carolyn Lancaster and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in the death by his twin brother at birth, parents James Henry Joslin and Bessie Thelma Joslin-Sullivan, brother Lawton Joslin and sisters Opal Ketcheside and Kathryn Clem. Sammie will be dearly missed by all those who know and love him.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 11:30 to 12:00 pm in the Heritage Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson, CA. Funeral service will begin after the viewing at 12:00 pm in the Heritage Chapel with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in the North Hyland Garden. Following the services, there will be a reception in the Lakewood Funeral Home Reception Hall.
