Sherry Gail Hancock

Sherry Gail Hancock was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on November 2, 1940 to Fred Wilkinson and Lois Smither Wilkinson. She moved to California with her family when she was 3 years old. She attended Whitmore School in Ceres, CA and graduated from Ceres High School in 1958. Sherry was a stay-at-home mom while her children were growing up, then later worked as a bookkeeper for her son’s business, Kent’s Kars, in Ceres, CA. She spent many years traveling through the United States with her husband during their retirement years.

She leaves behind her husband Robert “Bob” Hancock of 59 years, daughter Monica Yialouris and husband Chris of Hughson, CA. Son Kent Hancock and wife Michele of Bartlesville, OK. Five grandchildren, Cooper Yialouris, Dillon Yialouris (Emily), Allison Maxwell (Cory), Cole Hancock and Sarah Hancock. Two great-grandchildren Lane Maxwell and Emmett Maxwell. She also leaves behind her two beloved sisters, Freddie Bray and Barbara Baldwin and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on April 25, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on April 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM outside at the Estate area of Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson, CA. All are welcome to remember Sherry and celebrate her life knowing that she is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

John 11:25-27

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
