Shirley Ann Clevenger

Shirley Ann Clevenger, 77, entered into Heaven on June 15, 2023. She was born April 18, 1946, in Modesto, the daughter of Frank Dickson and Katie Roper. She was one of two children. Shirley attended Modesto High School. She was a devout Christian and attended church at 6th and G where she met her former spouse, Ronald Clevenger. They had two daughters, Shari and Cheryl.

Shirley was a homemaker and sold Tupperware while her daughters were young. She was always keeping her family as a top priority by making sacrifices for them. She later worked at Montgomery Wards and finished her working career at Wal-Mart on the night shift.

Shirley loved traveling, theme parks, thrift stores, and online bingo games. She was a great cook and loved preparing hot meals for her family. She loved doting on her daughters and later, her grandchildren.

She was preceded in Heaven by her mother, father, and son-in-law, Mark Nichols.

Survivors include her daughters, Shari Escobar and her husband, Curtis, of Patterson, and Cheryl Nichols of Modesto; three grandchildren, Alek Nichols, Markus Nichols, and Jonathan Nichols.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326.
